Reading from the PP.
CLIL activity
The following exercises follow an alternative approach which integrates content in a foreign language. In this case, students learn Math through English. The purpose of the first exercise is to assess student's prior knowledge
of geometrical figures and to activate students’ schemata. The purpose of the second exercise is to let the students make associations between
the geometrical figures and everyday real objects.
You can use this type of task with first and second graders to teach them geometrical figures in a second language or you can use these exercises with advance levels as pre-tasks or initial evaluations to introduce complex math-related contents.
